In 1959, Estúdios Cor published Jules Roy's novel *The Unfaithful Wife*, translated by José Saramago. The title was included in the Latitude Collection, directed by Nataniel Costa, and is described by those responsible for the Portuguese edition as "a work in which Jules Roy elevated passion, knowledge of men, and an intuition for adventure to their greatest strength—and this with a concision and intensity that are the hallmark of classic works.".
Jules Roy, born in 1907 in Rovigo (Algeria), was awarded the Grand Prize for Literature by the French Academy in 1958 for his body of work.
