In 1957, he published, under the imprint of Publicações Europa-América, the novel A Woman in Berlin by Christine Garnier, in what was one of José Saramago's first literary translations.
The copy held in the José Saramago Foundation Library in Lisbon was donated by the PT Foundation in June 2015.
