In 1957, Publicações Europa-América published the translation of the essay. USSR — Testimony of a French socialist by Jules Moch, in what was one of José Saramago's first literary translations. The book was part of the Studies and Documents Collection.
The copy held in the José Saramago Foundation Library in Lisbon was donated by the PT Foundation in June 2015.
