Our daily book

There is a truly extraordinary moment in reading: when we interrupt it. When someone is reading a book with the pages open, but suddenly takes their eyes off the book and looks ahead. The reading is suspended, something has happened, something magical: it's as if the reading wants to transport the reader to another universe. It is then that the reader, by taking their eyes off the page, is looking at themselves. This is what happens in the relationship between the reader and the book; it is the state of grace that reading fosters.

“Let us, ordinary citizens, take the floor and take the initiative. With the same vehemence and strength with which we demand our rights, let us also demand the duty of our duties. Perhaps the world can begin to become a little better.”
